The Dogan mining area is situated on the northern edge of Iran's central desert plain, northwest of Trood village in Shahrood County, Semnan Province.
To access this area, one must travel approximately 45 kilometers from the 115th kilometer mark on the Damghan-Jandagh road to reach Trood village, which is the nearest inhabited locality to the mineral site. From the 15th kilometer of the paved road leading to Shahrood, a grade 2 dirt road has been constructed, extending 12 kilometers to the entrance of exploration Block B within the Dogan mineral deposit.
